How would you like to increase the odds of achieving your goals? Whether you desire to lose weight, create financial independence, build a healthy marriage, or raise responsible children, the formula for achieving any goal is the same.
1. *Identify what’s important to you!* **The only goals you will succeed in reaching are those that are truly important to you. If a goal is not meaningful or significant to you, you More >
I’m not a huge fan of lists… “Top 10 ways to…”, “10 best things for…”, “10 tips to change your…”, yada yada, you’ve seen ‘em too. They’re everywhere. There’s top ten lists on nearly every topic you can Google. In fact, there’s probably a top ten list of top ten lists (if not, perhaps I’ll put one together). Anyway, that said, here’s another top ten list for ya LOL!
Okay, okay… I won’t deny it, my creative mind fleets me at the moment and as I sat here in front of my computer More >
I’m mostly just posting this because I want to hit a goal I set for myself of posting 12 blogs in 12 weeks. I’m getting to about 2/3 of the way thru those 12 weeks and now my coach (Yes, even coaches have coaches. Kinda like shrinks have shrinks. Maybe that’s not the best example, oh well) is taking inventory as to where I’m at in regards to hitting my goals so I’ve written 6 articles in the last 60 or so hours and this one gets me right on track! Yay me!
Anyway, More >
Money, money, money. We’re all familiar with it. We use it everyday. We spend it. We think about it. We converse over it. We work for it. We dream about it. Heck! Some of us even measure ourselves by it! Money encompasses nearly every aspect of our lives. I’m willing to bet that the last time you thought about something you really wanted, the next thing you thought about was whether or not you had enough money to get it. We base nearly every action we take around money. The vast majority of More >
It’s fair to say that I’ve done my share of reading and analysis regarding the various 2012 predictions. The fact simply is that there is NO hard evidence that warrants any form of worry of catastrophic or cataclysmic events to take place on December 21, 2012, nor is there any reason for you or I to be worried about it. Anyone who insists otherwise is likely looking to profit on the fear that has become related with this date. However, the question still remains… What will happen on Dec 21, 2012?? Why were More >
Piggy backing on my previous blog post, Are Schools killing our Creativity??, I’ve chosen to share another video from the famed and admired Sir Ken Robinson. In this video Sir Ken discusses the linear function of our current educational mindset. There’s a beginning, a linear process and, considering we do all things right along the way, when we reach the end we should have all the tools and skills needed to be successful in our life. However, this simply is NOT More >
Sir Ken Robinson sure thinks so. In this brief and enlightening video from Ted.com, Sir Ken Robinson, author of The Element and leading thinker on Creativity and innovation, shares his views regarding our educational system and it’s impact on childhood creativity. Packed with fun-filled humor, Ken discusses the importance of creativity in Human Evolution and it’s increased need amongst the Human population as our Society continues to advance. Those whom are allowed to explore their creative nature are often the innovators of our time and earn a generous living for such More >
I have no doubt that you’ve heard about all the different debt “solutions” out there. From Debt Consolidation and Debt Settlement to Credit Repair and Credit counseling not to mention that oh so evil 10 letter word… Bankruptcy! If these options work so well, why aren’t more people using them??
Well the fact is these programs offer little to no real support in solving credit/debt issues. Debt consolidation loans often include varying interest rates making your monthly payments about as predictable as Lindsey Lohan’s night life. Debt settlement has you missing payments in More >
A few moths ago a friend of mine shared this video of Derek Handley (former owner of Hyper Factory) with me while we leisurely sipped a few drinks at his new Honolulu apartment. James Seo (Owner of ThisIsMyGeneration.com) is one of my favorite “uber” nerd friends, spending hours on the web each day tracking down some of the internet’s most outlandish content. This video immediately captured my attention for a few reasons.
At the time, I was struggling with my own motivation and this guy’s opening lines hit me over More >
“Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die” ~Carrie Fisher
Though this blog is ultimately about forgiveness and its relation to personal success, it seems only appropriate that I start briefly with Resentment, as it’s important in understanding the need for forgiveness in our lives. According to thefreedictionary.com, Resentment is “Indignation or ill will felt as a result of a real or imagined grievance”. Notice the words “real or imagined”, that’s because the grievance is ALWAYS subject to the perception of the “victim”, how he/she chooses to More >
